Well, about the same time I bought a digital camera too.
And as I am a beginner, digicam is just much much more convenient. So I
decided to sell the film one and experiment with digital. And invest the
money back into accessories for digicam.

Which bring me to the point, does anybody know where can I get filters for
    Nikon Coolpix 4500?

The Nikon 4500 has a 28mm Filter thread IIRC ... finding filters in this
size will probably not be the easiest task.

Maybe look for a step-up ring to a common filter size like 49mm ... of
course having chosen such a handy filter size in 49mm you'll be able to make
an offer on my 49mm hoya filters .. Circ Polariser, ND, Red, Yellow, Cross
    Star, 6 star/diffuser, the list goes on ... :-P

Vanbar (www.vanbar.com.au) have a 28-37mm step up ring for $10.56 (Photolab
Step up ring 28-37 mm (Ref No: ds2837)), if you can find cheapish filters at
37mm you can stop here. Otherwise look for a stepper from 37 to something
useful (like aforementioned 49mm, which seriously, are quite common and
    relatively inexpensive, especially second hand).
