FA: Minolta D7i digital camera (5MP, 28-200mm lens) - Photography

Summary: 5 MP, 28-200 zoom, RAW output, AF and MF The only other prosumer digital camera with a inbuilt zoom down to 28mm is, I think, the new Nikon 5400; and it only zooms 116mm versus the D7i to 200mm. Couple of quotes from reviews: "If you want a high resolution digicam with all the features you'll ever need, a big zoom and excellent image quality, the DiMAGE 7i should be at the top of your "A" list." Summary: 5 MP, 28-200 zoom, RAW output, AF and MF

The only other prosumer digital camera with a inbuilt zoom down to
28mm is, I think, the new Nikon 5400; and it only zooms 116mm
versus the D7i to 200mm.

Couple of quotes from reviews:

"If you want a high resolution digicam with all the features you'll
ever need, a big zoom and excellent image quality, the
DiMAGE 7i should be at the top of your "A" list." (from Steves)

"One of the reasons that you'd buy this camera has to be the
zoom lens. Anybody that has used a digicam with a long focal
length zoom knows that these lenses really add to the overall
"fun factor" of using a camera. A zoom lens like the 28-200mm
7x Minolta GT zoom would be a very expensive purchase on a
35mm camera, it would also be quite large and heavy...It is an
excellent set of optics that has been perfectly matched to the
camera's imager." (from Steves)

It's on an ebay.com.au auction: http://tinyurl.com/hvfb

have pinged yesterday except I had the lurgi).
