    Default Fatal PostScript Error Msg

We are using Mac OS X 10.2.8 (Mac OS 9 classic) and Acrobat Distiller 5 on a PowerMac G4 machine. We are distilling pages from Quark 4.11 and once the file is done, we send the pages to our publisher. The publisher tells us that there are missing embedded fonts.

The Distiller will now report the following error message. "A fatal PostScript error has lef the interpreter in an intermediate state." What causes this error message? Corrupt fonts? Other possiblities?

    Thanks.

Default Re: Fatal PostScript Error Msg

Any number of reasons - probably just a bad .ps file going through ...

In any case, try to preflight your PDFs prior to delivery ... if you use
a print output specific profile, you are aware of these problems
    beforehand..

For now, delete Acrobat preferences and try again ...
