Re: FH MX 2005
Is it true? I hope that's true! I love the new GUI of Macromedia-products.
Is there a list of changes/features available?

Re: FH MX 2005
That would be a surprise to see FH MX updated once again. Maybe the magazine was talking about another update. MM did release the FH MXa updated in Europe at the same time correct?

Re: FH MX 2005
Why would it be called MX 2005 if it is released early on in 2004 and
would supposedly be part of the MX 2004 studio? People bitched enough
about paying for FHMX. I seriously doubt that one year later they would
put out another "pay for" upgrade.

Re: FH MX 2005
I posted this a while ago and at the time I spoke with the editor as to how
much speculation was involved. She said that, of course, it was speculative
but that they had a good source. Apparently, MM is wising up to the fact
that if they're going to include FreeHand in the studio bundle, it has to be
further integrated especially the UI. (I mean, not that we can expect
miracles but just look at the difference between what Adobe considers an
integrated bundle compared to MM's criteria--Version Cue has certainly
raised the bar.)
As for the year, MM released Studio MX 2004 in the year 2003 and there are
countless other examples (mostly Microsoft) of rashly named and dated apps.
I think it's rather positive that the development cycle has sped up some.
As for the magazine talking about another update--maybe you should get it
and read it some time. Believe it or not, in the EU we know the difference
between an update and a full version upgrade. In fact, it was probably the
people at Computer Arts that brought you that update.

Re: FH MX 2005
Computer Arts do seem to be big fans of MM and FH, thus a reliable source.
Which is why I felt it was worthy and exciting news to report having seen it
in print in their magazine. I hope it is true and that it will be a less
painful release than the last two.
