fh mx - advanced printing options disappear
i am using freehand mx in osx and having problems with printing on canon s9000
inkjet printer... after choosing print from file menu, i go down the pop-up menu to
"freehand mx" options, and click "advanced" and all i get is a small preview window
instead of all the ppd and other options i should have going on there. i cant even get
crop marks on my print like this! if i choose "adobe pdf" as my printer all these options
come back, but they wont work on my s9000. any ideas?

Re: fh mx - advanced printing options disappear
Advanced print options are only available for Postscript printers. Are you
using Postscript RIP for this printer?

(requires Acrobat Distiller) and then print it from Acrobat.
You can get quite reliable proofs printing directly from FreeHand too but
you have to have your color management settings right.

Re: fh mx - advanced printing options disappear
I have the same problem and i AM using a postcript printer and in fact various different ones. My problems started when i upgraded to panther from jaguar, before this all was well and i had all the advanced options now they are all gone and freehand gives the impression that it thinks i'm printing to a none poscript printer.
This is completely unacceptable as it is a key feature on the print side.
It's not too much to ask that macromedia tests freehand with OS X 3 before releasing MXa, they must have had developer copies of the OS.
Andy.
Illustrator CS works fine btw
