FH MX and Suitcase 10.2.2 (OS X 10.2.6) - fontlist not OK
I don't know since when, but I noticed it today (it worked at the beginning I think - but the mac is quite new, so I am not sure!), fonts openend in suitcase are not displayed in the font-menu / font-pop-up-list of freehand mx. there are only the system fonts.
I already tried everything to solve the problem (re-installed suitcase and freehand, trashed the prefs, took out most of the system fonts from the library-fonts-folders, even logged in as root to see if it's a OS-X-privileges-problem - nothing works). Now I become crazy about this problem ... do I have to re-install the whole system ??? oh my god, please not !!!
its so often freehand that makes such problems under OS X - I dream of good times with freehand 3.1 and freehand 5.0 ...
Tried it on another Mac - it works everywhere but not in my mac (a G4 1,25 Dual).
Strange is also, that fonts, that are opened in suitcase and not displayed in the fh font list even work in freehand - for example when you open an existing document with these fonts, they are displayed correctly and its name even appears in the fh info panel with the right name - but when you watch the fonts list, its not there ...
are there any known problems regarding suitcase and fh mx ??? any ideas would be welcome !!!
my freehand version is 11.0 build 438 (german), suitcase is 10.2.2 (US), OS X is 10.2.6 (german), the mac is a G4 1,25 Dual with 2GB RAM ...

Re: FH MX and Suitcase 10.2.2 (OS X 10.2.6) - fontlist not OK
For anyone who is interessed in this problem: I (perhaps) found the solution, bevause I found this in the READ-ME of Suitcase 10.2.2:
9. Dealing with OS X System Fonts
Although Suitcase 10.2.1 will override fonts active in the OS X system Fonts folders, if you prefer to remove fonts from those folders, this is the procedure we recommend.
Create a folder on the desktop named ?Extra User Fonts? and move all fonts located in /Users/<user?s home folder>/Library/Fonts there.
Create another folder on the desktop named ?Extra Library Fonts? and move all fonts located in /Library/Fonts there.
Create one more folder named ?Extra Classic Fonts? and move all fonts from /<Classic System Folder>/Fonts there EXCEPT:
Capitals
Charcoal
Chicago
Courier
Gadget
Geneva
Georgia
Monaco
New York
Sand
Techno
Textile
I thought, I already had all fonts removes from these folders, but I saw today, that I forgot 4 fonts in library/fonts (arial, arial bold, ..). After removing them, the freehand problem was gone !!!
I hope this was the reason, because I didn't try before if the problem is still there TODAY. Now I don't want to change anything again ... not touching a working system ...
