FHMX 4-up printing - Macromedia Freehand

I'm a FHMX Newbie on Mac OS 10.2 ... there must be a way to do this: I've designed a quarter-sheet postcard and I want to print 4 copies on one letter size sheet. My FHMX doent has a custom page size of 5.5 x 4.25 inches. I've tried various print settings: Copies, Layout, and Tile, but always get one page per sheet. I'm using Mac OS X to print to PDF. I guess I can workaround by setting the FHMX page size to Letter and cloning the content 4 times, but isn't there a better way? Thanks in advance....

It seems to me that your "workaround" is just the way to do it.
I have tried a few other things but they don't work.

Maybe someone else has other suggestions. Good luck.

I'm afraid not. The cloning method (I'd use Transform with copies) is
only a few seconds work, but it would be nice to be able to do simple
impositions like this through Freehand's Print Options.

Also, Ian Kelleigh has a good tip on his site that details how you can
use Lens Fills to create multi-up impositions:

Thank you both. I'm not finding FH as intuitive as DW and FW. Maybe I just need more time with it.

If you are preparing a 4-up press sheet, lay out the 4 panels on a single FH
page the size of the actual paper which will be fed into the press; or large
enough to include everything you want to print. ( For example, I typically
put my own fold & trim marks on a project like you describe.)

If you are just trying to print a 4-up comp on your desktop printer:

    1) Read the doentation on the Page Tool and Output Area tool.

    2) Turn on Snap to Grid. Use the Page Tool to drag your pages on the
PasteBoard, arranging them so that they abut each other in the arrangement
    you want them to print.

    3) Use the Output Area tool to drag an outline around all 4 pages.

    4) In the Print dialog, turn on the radio button for Area. If you want the
edges of the pages to print, turn on the checkbox for Page Boundary.

    5) Set up the other print options you want (fit to page, etc.) and print.
