FHMX crashes on launch in Mac OS 10.2.6

I have a problem with Freehand MX crashing on launch in Mac OS 10.2.6. Just as the panels appear I get a message telling me Freehand has quit. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I trashed the apple.com. freehand. plist preference in my library. I can run the program in a new account I created, so the problem exists just on my account. Any ideas on what I can do? Did I trash the wrong plist file? Or are there others I should have trashed?

I had the same issues - with Illustrator 10 and Photoshop 7 (which NEVER
crashes). I reverted to OS 10.2.5 to get the speed back - and to stop the
constant OS9-style crashes.

You might also try testing for a bad or conflicting font.
