    Default FHMXa vs Shortcuts

MM finally release the long awaited FH11 update; yay.
However, they failed to check if the shortcuts work.

*how could you _NOT_ notice the shortcuts failure to work?*
don't you use freehand at all??

are your keyboards so obstructed by piles of cash from upgrades that you're
    unable to use them?

what was the point of installing FHMXa?
FHMXa is effectively disabled in terms of work productivity and speed.

im infuriated. thanks for making my day.

That update came out a long time ago, and FHMX works fine for me - still some bugs but nothing too vexing. Certainly no keyboard shutcuts problems. I'm guessing you are on the WinTel platform. You sound pretty frustrated. I don't know why you're railing against FH users - it's not their fault that FHMX is infuriating you, and it certainly won't help to insult us about being careless with our money or anything. This is a user's forum, so you needn't have 'thanked' us for making your day. Take up your issue with Macromedia - write up a bug report and make your formal complaint that way.

    Happy New Year.

    to max;

    "Certainly no keyboard shutcuts problems."
-I have no shutcut problems either, merely non-functioning shortcuts.

"I'm guessing you are on the WinTel platform."
-Good guess, its usually the win version that recieves the most neglect.

    "You sound pretty frustrated."
-I am. how could you tell?
-How can the shortcuts to the TOOLS be overlooked?
-didnt MM even check it once over? pathetic.

"I don't know why you're railing against FH users"
    -I wasn't aware i was..?

"...it's not their fault that FHMX is infuriating you, and it certainly
won't help to insult us about being careless with our money or anything."
-I paid too. I though it was pretty clear I was a FH user?

    "This is a user's forum,"
-I AM a FH user... thats why i posted here... your point is what exactly...?

"..so you needn't have 'thanked' us for making your day."
-I wasnt aware the user's in this forum created FHMXa.

"Take up your issue with Macromedia - write up a bug report and make your
    formal complaint that way."
    -Thanks for your insightful advice.

    Trev:

As far as I can tell, certainly in the past few years anyway, Macromedia has neglected both the Mac and Windows side of its FH user-base. There's plenty of Mac folk in here who can testify to that, especially with regard to FH 10. Got a few hours? There's been enough grief over the past two or three years that many long-time FreeHand users, Mac and Win alike, have jumped ship and gone over to Illustrator. There have been issues that plagued the Mac side for which there was no corresponding issue on the Wintel side. And vice-versa, of course.

If you want to pretend that your anger over FHMX wasn't a tad misdirected, that's certainly your prerogative - have at it! I was merely pointing out that you were using a blunderbuss where a well-placed dagger would have done quite nicely. Apparently you are still too heated to take my post in the spirit in which it was written... rest assured, I can certainly feel the acid drip of your sarcasm. (:->))

Oh well. You're venting; I reacted to your vent. No harm done either way. Hope things work out better for you, Trev. All the best in 2004, from one FH user to another. May the next update solve your shortcut problem. Cheers.
