    Default File and windows disappear

There are some mysterious behaviors that Ill CS has been doing lately. Once I leave Illustrator running for a while (an hour perhaps), I can click on a file and it will mysteriously disappear. I say "disappear", because it doesn't minimize or close but Illustrator still recognizes it as being open. The only way I can reopen it is through the Windows drop down menu.

A similar behavior is seen with my windows (palettes) except I usually can find them open on the edge of my screen with maybe 5 pixels visible.

    Any help?

Hitting the [F] key will usually bring things back in a pinch. You probably need to delete your AIPrefs file though.
