File associations for Contribute 3?
I know that Contribute can directly import content from a variety of Office
formats, but does it have a "native" format that it "owns"? I know the user
can add new file extensions for saving, but how many different extensions does
Contribute come set up to use?
During the install process, what file extensions does the program want to make
itself the default app for?
Thanks.

Re: File associations for Contribute 3?
On my fresh install of Contribute CS3 on Windows, the installer didn't ask to
"own" any file extensions, nor did it alter the extension mappings for any
existing files. All of my "html" filetype (htm, shtml, html, etc.) are still
set to be owned by IE.

Re: File associations for Contribute 3?
Contribute does not take ownership of web extensions, and does not have a
native file extension. It does utilize connection keys which use the extension
..stc. By default Contribute already knows that it will be editing .html files -
If you need your files to be edit using another program like Dreamweaver, you
change the default Editor via Edit> Preferences > File editors> Webpage source
and then pick Dreamweaver or Notepad.
