Re: File IO Problem
U may install FileXtra4.x32 from http://www.kblab.net/xtras .it is free distribute and really very good.
It also can save picture... but u need to modify code a bit.
it can definately find all the file ,volume and path inside computer...Very powerful...
remember to copy FileXtra4.x32 inside your 'Executable Director' ,macromedia>Xtras> 'create a folder named FileXtra4 and put FileXtra4.x32 inside.
Then when inside *.dir ,remember to modify>movie>xtras>Add...FileXtra4.x32
Then it will work fine inside the *.dir and *.exe
Install and test the *.dir it really can detect all the folder, file and volume in the PC
Hope can solve ur problem.

Re: File IO Problem
Whew! You had me spooked for a minute there. I thought the web<->newsgroup path was acting up again, but I see that you are responding to 3-month old threads.
BTW, I responded from the newsgroup interface to your questions in the " Anyone had this experience with file IO ?" renamed to " Thanks for help." thread. It should show up here in the web forum interface soon. Meanwhile, I'm off to work.
