File Location Preferences - Adobe Indesign Windows

I use ID 2.0.2 and I'm on a network. When saving a new doent, I have to go through many levels out of my C: drive then through the network drives until I find the appropriate folder to place my doent. Am I missing a file preferences option like MS Office and WordPerfect or do I need to place this in the Feature Request Forum? Thanks. Rosemary...

Create a shortcut to the desired folder, then copy that shortcut into My
    Doents.

Or, created mapped drives so your R:\ drive is really a folder out on the
    server somewhere.

Thank you, John. I should have thought of that.
