Default Re: File recovery in Contribute

you can use 'rollback' to retun to previous pages. when installing contribute you are asked if you want to enable rollback or to set it for how many days.
    hope this helps.

    Macfan1123,

The only thing that would save you in this case would be if you had the
rollback option enabled. You might want to activate this feature now so that in
the future, you could rollback in the event that this type of thing happened.

    Mac OS X instructions:
    1) Select Contribute (menu) > Administer Websites > [yoursite]
    2) Select Rollback from the list on the left
    3) Activate the option for Rollback
    4) Define the number of files to keep

Now in the future when you need to rollback to a previous version of a file:
    1) Navigate to the page you want to rollback
    2) Select File > Actions > Rollback to Previous Version...
    3) From the list of version, select and confirm the preview is valid
    4) Click Rollback

Hope this helps for the future.
