I have a Windows 2000 server with XP clients. When files
are opened from the server on one workstation, then
closed, they can not be accessed from another workstation
until the original computer is rebooted. Any ideas why?

    Default File Sharing

    I got 2 laptops with different O.S, laptop1 has Win 2K
Pro, and laptop2 has Win XP, and I want to be able to
    share folders in both laptops.

When I try to access folders on laptop1 from laptop2 I
got no issues, however, when I try the same process from
    laptop1 to laptop2, I can't access laptop2.

How can I perform this task?

    Thanks

    Default File sharing

I have 3 WinXP boxes here.

Each box can see the others for file sharing ... but access is limited.

The C:\windows or C:\Doents and Settings\<user> folders are not
    accessible from another box.

I don't need these restrictions. Can the restrictions be removed?
