    Default Filling imported DXFs

We haveIllustrator 10, and are trying to import a DXF (a piece of text from RADAN) and would like to fill in the outline.

We have consulted the manual, and Illustrator for Dummies, and can fill in something that is created using the pen tool, but cannot do this with the imported DXF.

    Any suggestions?

    Default Re: Filling imported DXFs

    David,

most of the time shapes in dxf files consist of many single strokes and therefore cannot be filled until joining the single paths to one path. If you have to do such jobs often it is highly recommended to buy Rick Johnsons Plugin 'Concatenate'
