Filter Effect - Drop Shadow Blur
I ran into an interesting problem working with a flyer layout today. I had made a few flyers and applied the Filter Effect -> Drop Shadow to some text. When I applied the drop shadow, it looked fine (in other words, there was a nice blur and no hard edge to the shadow). I went back in to make another flyer today, and found that when I tried to apply the drop shadow, I could only get the hard shodow (which is basically just the same object in light gray and offset by about 7 pixels). No matter what I tried, I could not get the blurred effect back into the drop shadow. The window that pops up has "Blur" as an option, but it is not selectable or editable.
I get the feeling that there is another step that I am missing prior to actually applying the filter.
Any help would be a life saver!!
