Filtering by session variable in PHP
Hopefully, this will be a simple question. I have recently switched over to a
PHP/mysql platform from CF and am simply trying to filter a recordset with a
session variable. I have the session set up (on a login page) and I know it is
carrying over to the next page but I am obviously making an error in syntax
when I add in the filter because it will come up with no data returned. In CF
I can just filter in simple mode with seesion = username MM_username, obviously
in PHP this does not work as it flips to advanced mode with a variable called
'colname' (I believe - I am not on my DW computer right now). So, if someone
could tell me what I need to change in the advanced recordset to make the
session variable filter work it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Re: Filtering by session variable in PHP
if the variable is on the next page, and not there later.. are you sure you are
not looking at a Request variable and not a session variable. The Request
object will be there in the next page but will dissapear after that.. You may
need to do the PHP equivilant of Session('varname')=Request('varname') to
persist it beyond the next page.

Re: Filtering by session variable in PHP
It does show as a session variable and when it goes to the next page you can
see that it is carrying it over - if I do not filter it I can pull the records
up on the next page. However, when I add in the filter to get only one user's
information it comes back as no data returned. Thanks for your input!
