FINAL DRAFT script into PDF
I'm new. I have an ibook OSX. I tried to convert a script in Final Draft 6.0 software to PDF, and it said it didn't recognize the file. Final Draft was not in the pull-down menu options they gave me, so I picked txt. file and it converted it in the absolute wrong format. Help?????

Re: FINAL DRAFT script into PDF
I have an ibook OSX.
Does it have Adobe Acrobat installed on it?
Do you have a printer named Adobe PDF in your Print Center?

Re: FINAL DRAFT script into PDF
I have Adobe Reader, but I don't seem to have Adobe Acrobat installed. Is that what I should do first? And there is no printer named Adobe PDF in my Print Center.

Re: FINAL DRAFT script into PDF
You wrote "it said it didn't recognize the file". What was the "it"
here, if not Acrobat...?

Re: FINAL DRAFT script into PDF
Well, I went to Acrobat Reader "create PDF online", it asked me to "choose a file", which I did (the Final Draft script). After a bit, I got a message that the file was not recognized and to pick a file type from the pull-down menu. But I didn't see anything resembling Final Draft. So I picked txt. and it didn't convert it into the same format as Final Draft. Any thoughts? Thanks, Carrie

Re: FINAL DRAFT script into PDF
Ah, Ok. You can either use Create PDF online or buy Acrobat.
Neither of them has the slightest idea what Final Draft is, or how to
convert a file.
To use Create PDF Online, you would print to a PostScript file, and
send that to Create PDF Online.
You could do the same with Acrobat, or just print from Final Draft to
the Adobe PDF printer. This ("printing to PDF") is the usual way of
working.
