find & replace causes InDesign CS to Crash

Hi,

I'm running InD CS on a Dell Precision 620, dual 730s, 1Gig of Ram, I have 30 Gigs free space on scratch disc, 18 Gigs free space on another hard drive. The video card is Wildcat 4100 and it's a Win2K unmanaged machine. Recently, when I use find & replace on any document, the software crashes and creates an error log. I took the Excel table that I was using find & replace on into a fresh new document that was empty and tried it again, that also caused it to crash. So I opened another file that I had been working on with no tables, and tried find & replace, it also crashed. I have this large error file (I won't paste the whole thing here), it mentions the following at the top of the file:

It has a lot of other stuff in the file, but does anyone know what is making this happen? Everything I worked on over the past couple of days has crashed over and over. I can simply copy and paste something and it will crash.

Empty the TEMP folder, reboot, defrag, reboot, and call me in the morning if you still have problems. Maybe trash preferences files and restart the program, too.

Thanks. Adobe tech support seems to think my file is corrupt. We reinstalled the software and then it didn't recognize my serial number and we went through a very long session to work around it.
