    Default Find and Replace Doesn't Work in Code

    Hi,

    I used to do all my coding in Homesite which probably has the world's greatest
    find and replace function. I could replace hundreds of lines of code at a time
    within seconds.

    At my new job, we're on Macs, so I have to use Dreamweaver 8 to code our site
    (PLEASE MAKE HOMESITE FOR MACS!!!!). DW8's find and replace function is slow,
    painfull and basically useless for anything longer than 50 characters.

    Or is it? Please help me.

    I'm trying to delete a line of code (see below) from from Source Code in All
    Open Documents (63 pages)

    When I put the code in the Find box and put nothing in the Replace box, it
    says, "Done. Not Found in 63 Documents"

    I tried deleting the file from the Site Manager, hoping it Dreamweaver would
    be smart enough to remove the link from all the files, since it does such a
    fine job of updating the links when you change a filename. Alas it doesn't. And
    now I have 63 documents with broken links and I'm going through one page at a
    time to delete the code.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Lincoln at Pro Photo Supply.

    The line of code that won't be deleted:

    <A HREF="p-proservice.htm" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore();"
    onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('tnproserv','','images/tn-proserv_f2.gif',1);">

    Does it do it when you only have 1 page open?

    It's just a link I want to drop on an image: the code is this:

    <A HREF="p-proservice.htm" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore();"
    onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('tnproserv','','images/tn-proserv_f2.gif',1);">

    Just want to replace that with nothing.

    It seems to work OK for me. Do you have the RegEx option checked or
    unchecked?
