Find and replace errors
Hi all, I've been using Dreamweaver for years now and love it. I find the "Find
and Replace" extreamly useful, it literally turns hours of projects into
minutes. Today though I've been having a problem though, and before never
encountered it. Here's my problem:
I take the source code, highlight it and copy it to do a find and replace. I
open the Find and Replace and paste the code into it. I change what I want
changed, copy that source code (like normal) and paste it into the replace box
and choose replace local folder (on top). I select the folder, source code is
selected, and look at the code in the 2 boxes. Both are exactly the same, just
with the appropriate changes made to them. When I select replace all, it
mulitplies on all the pages. If I attempt to clean up the code and select what
was messed up and replace it with what should have been, it multiplies again.
It does each page like 4-6 times each time over and over.
This has never happened before. Any ideas what might be going on?

Multiplies?
Can you show me a page before and after you have done this?

Re: Find and replace errors
Here are my steps (sorry, couldn't figure out how the thumbnails work).
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/5033/step37ed.jpg
Basically it looks like it multiplies (by 7) and something somewhere is
screwed up in a setting. If I grab the <td>'s that are not right (like above)
and try to fix it, it just multiplies it even more. I've never seen anything
like this. Very strange. Any ideas?

Re: Find and replace errors
Found what it was, the "Use regular expression" box was checked when doing the find and replace. Once I unchecked it, things went back to normal.
