Find OCR Suspects does not seem to work

Default Find OCR Suspects does not seem to work

No matter what quality of document I scan and then run OCR on, Acrobat Professional 8 never finds any suspects. This would seem to be impossible. I recently scanned a 300+ page document. While most of the text was clean, there were many pages of attachments that were copies of copies, which I know did not scan perfectly - when I highlight some words there are gaps in the results (letters missing, that cannot be selected because they were not picked up during the OCR run). Is this a bug, or am I forgetting to do something?

Are you saving before doing the find suspects? I seem to remember
finding that this had some effect in an older release, it may still
apply.

Hi:

When I scan older documents and then try to highlight them with the yellow highlight function - it highlights individual words but not the gaps between them - is it possible to get the highlighter function to highllight entire lines including the gaps between the words??

Please answer by e-mailing me direct at jchawkins@telus.net
