finding sort arrows for NSTableView - Mac Programming

I am looking for the up and down sort arrows used in table views like Mail and the Finder. After searching the archives, I found the following code snippet to create a local tiff image of the arrows: [[[NSTableView _defaultTableHeaderSortImage] TIFFRepresentation] writeToFile: "/tmp/sort-up.tiff" atomically: YES]; [[[NSTableView _defaultTableHeaderReverseSortImage] TIFFRepresentation] writeToFile: "/tmp/sort-down.tiff" atomically: YES]; But this doesn't work anymore. What is the solution? bye...

    Default finding sort arrows for NSTableView

    I am looking for the up and down sort arrows used in table views like
    Mail and the Finder. After searching the archives, I found the
    following code snippet to create a local tiff image of the arrows:

    [[[NSTableView _defaultTableHeaderSortImage] TIFFRepresentation]
    writeToFile: "/tmp/sort-up.tiff" atomically: YES];
    [[[NSTableView _defaultTableHeaderReverseSortImage]
    TIFFRepresentation] writeToFile: "/tmp/sort-down.tiff" atomically: YES];

    But this doesn't work anymore. What is the solution?

    This is covered in the NSTableView docs in the
    setIndicatorImage:inTableColumn: method:

    These images are accessed using[NSImage imageNamed:] passing either
    "NSAscendingSortIndicator" (the "^" icon),
    and "NSDescendingSortIndicator" (the "v" icon).

    You can get the images using

    [NSImage imageNamed:"NSAscendingSortIndicator"]

    and

    [NSImage imageNamed:"NSDescendingSortIndicator"]

    I think the names were added in Jaguar, though I'm not certain of that.
