You don't "need" any other firewalls, but if you want real protection, get
Zone Alarm. Its free and monitors both incoming and outgoing traffic.

    Default Firewall

    Hi,
I'm having trouble getting to the settings for the
firewall. I'd like to turn it OFF since I have a firewall
installed that is doing the job.
Is there some other way to get access to the controls
besides the connections area? HELP!! LOL (It's not
that I can't get online and do what I want to, but I'd
    like to turn it off.)

If I haven't experienced any problem with the blaster
worm should I still download everything and disconnect my
    firewall?

Well, it rather depens on what you mean by "everything"! If you mean
should you install the Windows XP patch, YES.

WHY would you even consider disconnecting [sic] your firewall? (I assume
you mean disabling it, unless it is a hardware firewall.) Do you
actually want problems to arise in the future?
