Firewall and Proxy Problems
In the fall, my company began development on a new delivery system for
our online courses: a Flash based player that utilized a FlashCom
server to deliver the streaming video portions of the courses. We knew
that there would be issues with the firewall and proxy settings of our
larger clients and that we would eventually have to deal with the
problems. Now that our client base is starting to convert over to our
new delivery system, we are running into these problems everywhere.
RTMP and RTMPT connections are all being blocked by the standard
settings that these corporations are using.
Other than asking corporations to change their firewall and proxy
settings, has Adobe made any changes in the newer Flash Media Server?
Or has Adobe announced any plans to get the FMS to jive with standard
firewall and proxy configurations?
Thanks.
