Fireworks crash

I recently installed studio mx on a system running os X. The first time it was installed Dreamweaver worked fine, Flash and Fireworks crashed when trying to enter text, and Freehand would not open at all. I had my people in tech support reinstall the program and now everything is running fine except Fireworks....it crashes everytime i click on the add text button. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? I really need fireworks!

thanks for the response. I am using os 10.2.6 I can not edit any text the minute I click on the text icon fireworks crashes. Any help would be really appreciated.
