Fireworks missing color

Hi, I'm trying to use the color #5c7987. Flash and photoshop have this
color. Whenever I try with Fireworks MX, it give me a purple color instead.
Is there someway to get this color to work in Fireworks?

Have you set your colours to snap to web safe? If so, de-select web
safe colours and try that.

No, it was more of a medium-dark grey hue. See Craig's response
regarding web-safe colors.

Craig, That did the trick. I had to deselect web safe colours.
