fireworks - vb support - Macromedia Fireworks

I hate Photoshop, help me find a better product. All it has to do is be controlled by vbasic. i.e. I can recurse thru sub directories and process files. e.g. pics in 'images' folders are converted to 72dpi, then a logo, then copyright info. e.g. pics in 'thumbs' folders are given a logo (smaller), then copyright info. or autolevels is done ..etc... Can someone please confirm that Fireworks is up for this time saving automation, please. Enable me to get away from the Photshop piece of crap....

Fireworks is automated by javascript, but VB. You're going to have to pave
your a lot of your own road if you go down any other path with FW.

I can code in VB or JS , no problem. i.e. recursive sub directories , if statements, triggerring actions exposed to an API.

I think fireworks can be controlled from DreamWeaver.

So is that a 'Yes' or a 'No' ?

    Can someone please confirm.

You could always search the Macromedia site for the information. Here
is a link to a PDF doent dealing with extending FW.

Yes..... FW can be controlled from DW. One of the common extensions that
does this is the Web Photo Album 2.1 extension which is launched from
Dreamweaver, but uses FW to process all the graphics.

    Cheers,
