Default Fixing nested connections

When first learning contribute for a customer, we created a /contrib_test
folder and a test connection to Contribute. I put a set of dummy files, images,
templates, etc there to learn contribute. All went fine.

Now we want to get the connection set for the real website, from the root of
the site.

Question: How do I gracefully remove the /contrib_test connection and pages
from the server? We have no more use for it. I've been considering just
deleting all the files on the servers, but not sure if that is most effective
way?

Or does it not matter what connection I had to /contrib_test site? It doesn't
impact the /root site?

Thanks. SGimbal

Additional aspect:

When I created the /contrib_test connection, I assigned someone as a
Publisher. On the Administer Website, Users and Role pop-up, I could see the
assignee (Katie) under the publisher role. In the /root website, I can't seem
to establish the assignees. I've sent connection key but they haven't connected
yet. Will I not see the assignee on the Users and Role pop-up until they have
made their connection or something?

<Sigh> Gosh, I need to do this more so it becomes second hand.

Any help anyone can provide would be great! SGimbal

1. remove the connection from contribute: go to Edit, My Connections and remove
the connection
2. use an FTP Client (FileZilla is free if you don't have one, download
http://filezilla-project.org/download.php) and remove the /contrib_test folder

Thanks Thinklnk. That's what I thought. I have DW and can see the files from there; not need for FTP client.
