Flash 9 - no sound!!
I have Flash 9 installed. The video content loads perfectly, but no sound will
play on any flash-based site.
I have used the Adobe-approved uninstsaller and the Add/Remove programs to
uninstall, and I have used each several times before a fresh install, on admin
and sub accounts. Everything was fine one day, the next I had no sound. I
have run multiple virus scans and reg scans with no issues found. This is my
only error, also.
I didn't find anything during aquick perusal of any fixes.
I am completely flummoxed here, and any help will be greatly appreciated!
:confused;

Re: Flash 9 - no sound!!
I am also having this problem on Mac OS X (PowerPC). It was working fine
yesterday. Now no sound comes out at all. Problem was verified to happen in
both Safari and Firefox while other plug-ins like QuickTime behave normally.

Re: Flash 9 - no sound!!
Hey... I don't know if this will help you any, but I finally got mine to work
last night.
I updated my sound drivers and put a new set of speakers on. This worked
fine, which I don't pretend to understand considering all the other plugins
worked great.
But I'd say update your sound drivers and plug in a set of headphones or
something to see if that works.
(Go to start, settings, control panel, system, hardware, device manager,
sound/video controllers - also make sure none have a red x by them.)

Re: Flash 9 - no sound!!
Unfortunately this does not apply to me since I'm on Mac OS X, not Windows.
Still no sound. I've made sure to even test with and without my speakers being
plugged in. No dice. I've gone so far as to uninstall and reinstall Flash and
even repair permissions.
