Default Flash add on crashes Internet Explorer

I became a high speed internet user 2 days ago and had very little problems
before then. ISP said I had to install Flash player to fully receive all
graphics, etc. - I did and then it kills internet explorer. I can be online
without the player installed, but as soon as I try to use it after reinstalling
the player, it won't work. Has anyone had this problem and if so, what did you
    do to correct it. Thanks!

Default Re: Flash add on crashes Internet Explorer

I had the same problem with Flash Player Version 8. Don't expect any sensible
responses from Macromedia or Microsoft. I get the impression they are in denial
and no competent resources are being applied to address the problem.
I tried everything to no avail.
So I removed Flash 8 completely.
Then I downloaded the archived version 7 from Macormedia's site and Ver 7 is
    working OK for me.
Its a workaround only as some sites content wont play with version 7, but at
least it does not crash IE6.
