Flash Media Server Developer edition - Macromedia Flash Flashcom

Will the Developer Edition allow you to stream flv's to people outside your network? I have a developer edition set up on a public IP address while we wait to obtain a full license. It is up there purely for a client review. Anyway, nobody can seem to get the videos to stream. What gives? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!...

I assume the streaming works inside your network. Check the router
config and see if port 1935 is open to the outside world. This is the
port that the rtmp protocol streams on.

It's most likely a firewall or router setting issue. The dev edition allows
connections just like the licensed version.

Check your firewall/router/proxy to make sure that it is allowing traffic on
ports 80, 1935, and 1111 to the ouside world.

Thanks. I suspected as much, but I wanted to make sure there weren't any other possible reasons.

    Much appreciated.
