Default Flash menu not visible in browser until I reload/refresh. Help!

I have just spent over an hour looking for the solution to my problem
but cannot find a thread that matches it (or am too ignorant to
recognise it when I see it.) I apologise if this is a common question.

I have just created a menu for an HTML page using Flash. It works fine
in the Flash tool and the published HTML file works fine if I just load
the local HTML file (i.e. the one on my hard drive) into a browser on my
machine. When I FTP the file to my web site and load the page over the
internet my browser displays everything on the page except for the flash
menu. When I refresh/reload the page the menu appears. If I clear
the browser cache and re-load the page the menu is gone again until I
click on reload/refresh once again. I get the same results with Mozilla
and with IE.

Any help with what I might be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

regards

Pretty much impossible to help you unless you give us the URL to the page so
we can see what you've done wrong. But it sounds like there may be a
problem with your preloader (if you have one) or perhaps with jumping
forward in the movie, before the section you are jumping to has been loaded
(that will not work).

Don't think I used a pre-loader (this is my first ever flash experience
- didn't know I needed to use one) so that might be the problem. The
URL is www.i2photo.com/sivananda05/index.html. Thanks for your help so
far and hope that I can get a solution.

Just wrote a simple pre-loader (thanks to
www.iboost.com/build/software/flash/preload/10007b.htm) and my menu now
comes up without needing to be in the local browser cache.
