flash movie displays slower in Firefox
How is it possible, that some flash movies, plays much slower in firefox
and seem to use much more resources?
Is it a common problem?
How can it be solved in the design?

the pre-release versions? It may be a memory issue with Firefox, but
it certainly has nothing to do with the Flash plug-in as the one
Firefox uses is the same that Netscape and all non-IE browsers have
been using for years with no report ever of slower playback.
To my knowledge the only issue with playback lag has been on the Mac.

Re: flash movie displays slower in Firefox
There have been quite a few people complaining about slow Firefox
performance lately .. its certainly not just a one-off experience. Maybe
you haven't heard of such a thing (again), but there are people experiencing
it. Guess there's a few things you haven't heard of ... perhaps you should
get out more :):):) However, it is true that other (more?) people do not
find the same problem with Firefox, and others even say it is faster. It
may simply be the combination of browser, play, operating system, available
resources, screen resolution, move frame rate .. hard to tell unless one
does a good analysis of all the situations where FireFox is slower vs those
(probably more common) where it isn't.
BTW: The OP said nothing about if being a problem with Flash Player itself
... just that they play slower in Firefox (for whatever reason).

need to "stay in" more and read newsgroups :)
I know he didn't say it was an issue with the player, I was merely
saying that whatever the issue turns out to be, it won't be the player
itself so he can eliminate that since it's the same player that runs in
Netscape, Mozilla and Opera. It must be an issue with memory
allocation and Firefox that I was unaware of. Hopefully someone has
posted this issue to mozilla.org as a bug.

the actual problem is. Debugging something like firefox and flash player
with only vague reports like "its slower for some movies" is next to
impossible.
