Default Flash Movies on Acrobat Mac

I have some Flash swf files that I am trying to embed as a Movie in Acrobat 8 on the Mac. It doesn't work on Acrobat 8 or earlier. I am also trying the same files under Acrobat 7 Pro on Windows and it doesn't work there either. The files are created by Captivate 2 and I had the same failure with RoboDemo 5 swf files. I have turned off compression, but alas both the Mac and Windows version both claim that they cannot access the swf files. For years I have attached the swf files as comments, but I hoped that I could get things to work under Acrobat 8 and/or using Captivate 2 rather than RoboDemo. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've heard of the problem before. I believe there were some features in the SWF that were not supported (but I can't remember what they are). If you have QuickTime Pro, you might try opening the SWF and resaving them as QuickTime movies, but no guarantees.

    Steve,

I tried that one, but Quicktime Pro doesn't recognize the swf files
    created by Captivate.
