Flash Player installed, but.... - Macromedia Flash Player

Ok here's the deal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I upgraded Windows 98 to XP and then had problems with my flash player. I redownloaded flash player and then went to the test page on macromedia.com and it said Flash Player and Shockwave were successfully installed. It is the Flash Player 8,0,22,0 and Shockwave 10,1,1r16. So then I went to the Showcase Finder, also on Macromedia.com and went to the "Volvo" page and the Terminator 3 page to see if Flash was working. Everything worked fine. Default Flash Player installed, but....

Ok here's the deal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I upgraded
Windows 98 to XP and then had problems with my flash player. I redownloaded
flash player and then went to the test page on macromedia.com and it said Flash
Player and Shockwave were successfully installed. It is the Flash Player
8,0,22,0 and Shockwave 10,1,1r16. So then I went to the Showcase Finder, also
on Macromedia.com and went to the "Volvo" page and the Terminator 3 page to see
if Flash was working. Everything worked fine.

But for some reason this 1 site won't work. It's youtube.com (Sorry if it's
against the rules of this board to post other website urls) Everytime I go
there it says:

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's
Flash Player, click here to get the latest flash player.

It then links me to macromedia.com. I was unable to view things on this site
before I upgraded to Windows XP. My Javascript is turned on from what I can
see.

Anyone have any advice or tips?? Sorry if this was gratutiously long or if I
confused anyone. This isn't for business use, just personal use. Any help
would be greatly appreciated, I've tried everthing. But I'm a novice when it
comes to macromedia software.

Thanks in advance

I am having the exact same problem with IE6. Tried everything
including turning off pop-up blockers, updating Java and Flash, but
still get that same message at youtube and a couple other sites (for
example www.ad-tech.com).

Any help appreciated.
