Flash Player Plugin 9.0.45 MSI Won't Install
I downloaded the new Flash Player Plugin [9.0.45] MSI through the
redistribution license site and set it up as a Group Policy object as I have
done with previous versions of flash player. Once it is setup as a GPO and I
reboot a client, it does not install the new version. I loaded up the MSI in
Orca and ran validation on the msi. An error comes up after validation is run
that says "ProductCode: '{685A56F8-75B6-44AD-B3DA-FB0A3266B47C}' is an invalid
Windows Installer GUID." I don't get this error on previous versions of Flash
Player Plugin MSIs or previous or the current version of Flash Player ActiveX
MSIs, so it looks like this is what is causing the issue. The interesting
thing to note is that the ProductCode for the the 9.0.45 Plugin version is the
same ProductCode as the 9.0.28 ActiveX version. Was the wrong code used in the
9.0.45 Plugin MSI?

We're checking into this. Lots of CS3 issues taking up the available resources, so it may take a bit to get more info..

Darren,
I just downloaded it again at 10:20am on May 16th. It still has the same Product Code and won't validate in Orca.

Re: Flash Player Plugin 9.0.45 MSI Won't Install
Hi jbeyette@esm,
I downloaded the Flash Player Plug-in MSI (9.0.45.0) and verified that this is
the correct Product Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\{B91D3B4D
-001F-4ABF-B8A5-B5A926DB63AD}
Try clearing your cache and see if that works for you.

Re: Flash Player Plugin 9.0.45 MSI Won't Install
There is a document under development that covers all the admin stuff for
distributing the licensed Flash Player. However, it's not public yet. That's
where these details are going to be, officially.
Right now, all we really have is " IT administrators Flash Player FAQ"
([url]http://www.adobe.com/go/b0dba60b[/url]). The upcoming doc will be much more
sophisticated..
For distribution purposes you must license the Flash Player installer via
[url]http://www.adobe.com/licensing/[/url].

Re: Flash Player Plugin 9.0.45 MSI Won't Install
Hi dufferzz,
Flash Player MSI can be downloaded from the Adobe Player Licensing site:
[url]http://www.adobe.com/licensing/distribution/[/url]
Until the guide that Bentley mentioned is published, you can look up info on
the following sites regarding how to use Group Policy
[url]http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314934[/url]
[url]http://www.appdeploy.com/[/url]
