Flash smooths my Gif no matter what!!! I want it pixelate!!!

I want to use a pixalate image in flash and keep it lossless and preserve its rough edges without flash's fancy smoothing mumbo-jumbo!

I've tried to import my image in both PNG and Gif. I've tried to but it into either a MC or a graphic symbol. I've placed it on excact coordinates. I've unchecked the allow smoothnes in the image library properties. Still it appears smooth and not rough in the edges when I publish.
The only time I've been able to view it the way I want is when I use _quality="low", but then my whole movie suffers....

Can I use the _quality property in only a small fragment of the movie or is there another workaround?

That could be a perfect solution had it not been for the increased filesize. You see, I have several gifs in the movie and it ends up being to big with this solution, but thanks for your reply:)
The gifs are rather complex i color/shape and the plan is to enlarge them quite a bit with AS!

Anyway, whats the point with "allow smooting" checkbox in img. library properties if the gif is smoothed anyway???
