Flash: Some sites work, others don't. HELP! - Macromedia Flash

Hello All! I've been working with Macromedia to try to get Flash content to work correctly on my computer, but two techs are now stumped. I've downloaded the player successfully, then removed, reloaded a bazillion times, but the problem remains: Some sites work, others don't. Default Flash: Some sites work, others don't. HELP!

Hello All!

I've been working with Macromedia to try to get Flash content to work
correctly on my computer, but two techs are now stumped. I've
downloaded the player successfully, then removed, reloaded a bazillion
times, but the problem remains: Some sites work, others don't.

These work:

http://www.nike.com/nikegolf/
http://macromedia.com/
http://www.evb.com/link.php?project,52

These don't:

http://www.benjerry.com/fun_stuff/cow_to_cone/ (blank white screen)
http://www.uav.com/home/index.html (navigation buttons at bottom
missing)
http://www.coraccess.com/ (blank white screen)
http://www.baconskateboards.com/alternate.html (redirection screen)

I have FOUR different browsers: IE6, Netscape 4.8, Netscape 7.1, Mozilla
1.5, and they all work/don't work the same.

Computer is a 6 month old Dell, Windows XP Pro.

My wife's computer is a 9 month old Dell with Win XP Home, and
everything works good on her computer. We both use the same Norton A/V
and Firewall, which I've disabled as a test as well, with no success.

I've checked all sorts of permissions, Play Animations is checked, Java
is updated and enabled, Active X is enabled.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Gerard

Default Re: Flash: Some sites work, others don't. FIXED!

Great News!!!!

My wife fixed my computer!

Really!

She mentioned to me that Norton Internet Security Personal Firewall has
some custom settings in the configuration. In those custom settings was
a setting to block Active X content. I had it switched "ON". Restoring
the setting to "Default" (Medium) allowed me to view Flash content from
all sites. The steps:

1. Open Norton Internet Security
2. Click "Personal Firewall"
3. Click "Configure"
4. Click "Custom Level"
5. ActiveX Control Security: Change to "None: Allow ActiveX Controls"
6. Reset Firewall Level to Medium

Problem solved!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

And a big "THANK YOU" to my lovely wife for the help!
