When you say 'running' what do you mean exactly? That it shows up in the task
manager? Or that it's listed as a running process?

This is NOT the way the Util file is supposed to behave. It's supposed to sit
in the Flash folder (C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash) waiting for you to
launch it if you need to update or remove Flash Player..

So something's not right. There's no way that we've written that would make
that thing a startup item of any kind...

So, as nickname said, more info is needed. Are you by any chance on any kind
of corporate network? Post your screen shots to flickr or some other photo
    site...

OK. Here are the 3 screenshots. It sits in the task manager and runs,
changing from 176 - the speed - it goes up and down.

I've deleted this program from my PC, even the registry and reinstalled it
and the same thing happens. I am running Windows Vista, Intel Pentium D, 2
GIGS of RAM. My PC is a Dell XPS and only about 4 months old. This has only
started happening since I upgraded the flash player. Need any more info?

When you say you 've "deleted" the program, does that mean that you just hit
the delete key, or that you uninstalled the program. Exactly what did you do?
And how did you delete it from the registry? It shouldn't be a running process.

I uninstalled it and redownloaded it, reinstalling it. Same thing happened.

OK, I'll try to be more specific this time.
1.Did you uninstall it thru Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel, or did
you uninstall it using the uninstaller from adobe?
2.Exactly how did you remove it from the registry?
