Default Flex AIR and Acrobat SDK

    Hi,

1- Can we access Acrobat SDK in an AIR Application? (using FLEX)

2- if the answer to question 1 is YES, then Can we distribute the software without asking our customers to buy Acrobat? We want it to be integrated in our product not a separate add-in to our software.

    Thank you in advance,

You can access the JavaScript APIs that are documented in the SDK from an AIR application.

Your customers don't need Acrobat, but they will need at least Reader installed since the Acrobat SDK requires Acrobat or Reader (has NOTHING to do with AIR).

    The most important question is:

Can we SCAN a Document Using Acrobat JavaScript SDK?

Even if JavaScript supported scanning (which it does not, by the way), you couldn't do that with Reader anyway. Reader doesn't create PDFs.
