Flex within Portal--any fully functional demo codeavailable?
Hi all:
I'm a technical architect trying to do a proof-of-concept of a Flex-based
front-end for a JSR-168 portlet. New to Flex, have worked through the tutorial.
I am unable to get my proof-of-concept working in Websphere 5.1 Portal Server
(our target runtime). This isn't a surprise, given my newbie status. What is
a bit of a surprise, and more than a bit frustrating, is my total inability to
find a working example of this that I could use as a learning aid. I'd really
appreciate war stories and guidance from anyone here who is able to use Flex as
a portlet front-end, since if my proof-of-concept ended right now, I'd have to
rule it out as a display technology and I'd like to give it a better evaluation
before doing so.
FYI, I have read both of Christophe's porlet-related articles already. The
problem with them is that he doesn't provide the web.xml descriptor for his
sample portlets, which renders them much less useful.
Thanks in advance,
-Eric-

Have you proven you can get the Flex UI to render in a plain old web app
(POWA. I just made a new one)?
What problems are you seeing?
We have a lot of experience in both Portals and Flex. Although we
havent had an engagement mixing the two I would like to see if we could
be of some help.
