Flopping Printed Files
We are a Screen Print company that is running G4s with Ill. 10.0.3 and printing to 3 Agfa imagesetters and an ECRM imagesetter.
We have many Il. print gangs saved to image our jobs with. When
printing, very often the print gang itself will flop 180 degrees and the
punches will not be turned on on the imagesetter. We can open the
same document up 15 minutes later and print and it will come out
fine without changing any settings. We also have some Apple
Laserwriters and it does the same thing to them. We are running
System 9.1 and have at least 512 Meg of Ram on each machine.
I'm about ready to pull what little hair I have out. Any ideas or
suggestions would be appreciated!!

Re: Flopping Printed Files
How are you ganging? Through the RIP or through page layout?
Are you printing from Illustrator or Quark?

Re: Flopping Printed Files
I call them gangs but they are 1 up print documents. We are doing most of our printing out of Illustrator. Thanks

Re: Flopping Printed Files
Sounds like we might use close to the same equipment, but we do our final prints to the imagesetters through Quark 4.1.
I haven't seen this problem...yet anyway.
The only advice I can give is that I remember an Adobe PS update for the printers.
