Fly Out menus in DW?

Default Fly Out menus in DW?

I am new to Dreamweaver, but not to web building. I used NetObjects Fusion for
years and I love it. Trouble is, one of my clients insisted I use DW so I got
started in it -- I like many of its features. But I cannot figure out how to
build fly-out menus!!?? It's so easy in NOF. I have Googled this topic
extensively. It seems I either have to buy Fireworks or buy a 3rd party
extension. This is nuts. There MUST be a way to do this within DW so that I
don't have to buy more stuff. Can anyone point me to a tutorial that will help
me learn how to do this?

Thanks!

Hi Kat -
welcome to the 'light side' of the web.
I was a long-time NOF user myself (if you have spent any time in the newsgroups or on GotFusion.com , we have probably crossed
paths before) but I am happy to say those days are behind me, DW is everything I could ever want and then some.

As for your flyout menus... I have been extremely happy with the PopMenuMagic system from ProjectSeven.
I know, I know, buying 'more stuff'... but trust me, it is worth it.
Here is an example I am working on right now... www.kanabchamber.com
Another one is here www.laestancia.info

If you have any specific questions or need help in general, feel free to contact me at the site in my sig.

Also... you might be interested in checking out the GotFusion "css" group - just go to Gotfusion.com, and sign up as a free
member.
You can then access the newgroups via outlook express.
There are a whole bunch of us ex-NOFers in there, with lots of experience combined, all in various phases of switching to DW8.

Murray -- Thanks for the links -- the "sucker fish" example looks great --
maybe I can do that.

Michael -- does PopMenuMagic allow you to use your own custom-created graphics
for the buttons? If so, I might have to buy it (tho it does tick me off,
because I think DW should make it easier for folks to do this!)

I will look into gotfusion, also. Thanks.

I promise that you'll have an easier time with the PVII ones.
