Default FMS in Windows System with NFS Client

    Hi all,

I'm setting up a FMS server in a Windows 2003 R2 operating system. The server
is installed on the system and seems to work fine (in a developpement
    envirronement).
The goal of this server will be to create a video file from a user's webcam,
the video will be stored on a NFS Share.
My problem is : remote shares are attached to users' sessions in Windows, how
i'll be able to map a NFS drive for NFS? Is it possible for NFS to connect to a
share over a SYSTEM account or should i leave a ghost session on my system with
the drive mapped and run FMS with the "ghost user" ?

All propositions will be welcome !
    Best Regards
    Mathieu D.

I think you have the right idea. Run the server as the "ghost user". Make
sure the user has sufficient privledges to access the FMS application
directories, create temp files, create and listen on sockets, etc. Unless yo
have tightened the priveledge granted on your server, it should be sufficient
to add the user to the Administrators group.

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for this answer !
I finnaly changed my mind and reinstall the server on a Ubuntu Server
    operating system.
FMS is working fine now, and my problem with NFS is solved, the solution for
Windows wasn't enough "clean" for me (leave a ghost session on a Windows system
was a bit crappy for me...)

I now have another problem to allow recording on the server (for the live
sample application), i made a copy of examples files as explained in the
readme.txt but it's still not working... Should i do a new topic entry for this
    problem?

    Best regards

    MathieuD,
    Please make sure to remove the applications/live/main.far after you are done with copying files from samples/.../live;
