    Default Font changes(?) when placing a MS Word file.

    I have InDesign CS on my system (XP Pro). I have a MS Word file that uses the font Times New Roman. When I place it in an IDCS document the file becomes Times New Roman PS MT. Are these two fonts the same. If not can anyone tell me what is happening.
    Thanks, Alan PS I am a rookie user of IdDesign.

    These are two different names for the same font--TIMES.TTF.

    However, I have experienced weird problems when placing Word 2000 docs
    under Windows 2000 using Times New Roman into InDesign 2 documents. For
    example, in one instance all of the Greek "delta" characters I had
    inserted into my Word doc using Character Map had disappeared after
    being placed into InDesign. I have since given up on using Times New
    Roman in my Word->InDesign workflow.

    Disclaimer: I don't know whether the Windows XP, Word XP, InDesign CS
    combination is any different in this regard, nor do I know whether the
    problems I have experienced are due to some idiosyncrasy of my setup.
