Hi All!
I am using Freehand 10 with Mac OS 10.3.5. I use Suitcase 10 for font
management.
We have an issue with certain fonts not linking correctly when EPS files are
created.
The document in question used B ITCKabel Bold in certain places. The Printer
font, ItcKabBol, was present for postscript printing. When an EPS file was
exported the font was gone and ITCKabel Book was substituted. That effectively
caused the 'Bold' to go away. I used Flightcheck to look at the contents of the
EPS and the Kabel Bold font was not even listed. To work around the problem I
was able to create outlines of the problem text, but that doesn't address the
issue that Freehand ignored the font that was used.
Is this a known issue? Is there something that I can instruct our customer to
do that will fix the problem? This is a recurring problem with this customer
and they are getting a little ticked that we can't seem to consistently
reprouce what they are creating.
