    Default Font menu "disabled" ??

Haven't encountered this before ... go to "Format" ... "Font" ... and the menu
    says "<Disabled>"

"Format" ... "Text Color" and "Highlight Color" are also grayed out.

Why is this & how do I get these menus back?

    Try this please:
    1. in the main menu go to Edit>Administer Websites
    2. go to Users and Roles, pick your role, and click Edit Role Settings
    3. go to Styles and Fonts
    4. check Allow Users to Apply Fonts and Sizes.

That's what so odd ... I did check that. All the options were selected (6
different checkboxes and a couple radio buttons in the "style and fonts" area).

I was able to get the fonts to work by switching the drop-down menu at the top
from "Document-level CSS" to "HTML tags" - but - all the options were checked
the same in either case. Odd that the fonts menus work when the HTML style
support is checked, but no the CSS.

You are right that that is odd.. It should also work with Document level CSS...
Maybe changing the dropmenu back again to Document level CSS will result in fixing the problem too.
