Font Sizes & Master Pages
Is there any way to change the font size or type or text boxes that have been overridden from their masters and modified? Does this question even make sense? If not, an example:
I make a master with a text box. Then I lay three pages associated with this master. I master-override the text boxes on these pages so that I can enter text. In the first one, I write the number 1. The second: 2. The third: 3. Now, I realize that I can still go to my master and reposition these text boxes -- but can I change the font size and type of each one using the master? As far as I can tell, I can't.
Hopefully that is a clear question.
Thanks.

Re: Font Sizes & Master Pages
You can't do it that way, because the contents are no longer the same as on the master, and formatting is a part of contents. You can achieve the effect by using Styles, and redfining the style wen you change the formatting on the master page.

entering text using a paragraph style for your text - why not call it
textboxstyle - then you can do whatever you want to your text.
If you select your Master Page text box and apply your paragraph style
to it the text on your 3 pages will also inherit the paragraph style.
You dont even need to go back to the master page to update the
paragraph style options...

Re: Font Sizes & Master Pages
Thanks, Scott. That makes sense.
OK, I see this works, but now I have another question: How about the alignment of text? I can't seem to left/right/center align the text using my master after I change the contents, even using the "justification" in the paragraph styles. Should this element be controlled elsewhere? Please advise.

Re: Font Sizes & Master Pages
Once theitem is extracted from the master page and the content edited or reformated in any way, the link to the content is forever broken. All formatting mus be done using styles or directly on the text.
